Stamford (town) Just outside Rutland, about a 15 min drive from Oakham, a beautiful town with very interesting architecture.
Rutland Water Nature Reserve Just outside Oakham in Egleton. A bird watchers paradise.
Rutland Sailing Club A must for wind surfers and sailors alike located via the village of Edith Weston.
Swans Antiques (Oakham) This is a lovely antique and linen shop on Mill street in Oakham.
